How to set up the "comment" section on my blog
-
I don’t know how to set up the “comment” section so I can have feed back. I think members can respond but what about others? Any help would be appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, how are you?
I made a test on your site and I can leave a commentary on your first post, even when I’m not connected to WordPress. Can you tell us witch kind of set up do you want?
Regards.

Daniel,
Thanks for you prompt response. Let’s get into this issue shall we? OK, I see that if you press the word “contact” on top of my blog, you may comment. However I see no other way you may respond. When you come to my blog and go to the bottom to leave a “comment” you’ll see there is no place to do so. Maybe, you say as a member, you may do so. But I go to my blog and find no way to check for comments of feedback. Also, you have responded to me via email and not with the comment section.
However, I do see the “comment” area very clearly ONLY when I go to the “Edit Post” option. Then it’s as clear as can be. There is a “small ad” located just below my article, and then my comment is posted, and right below that is the “comment” section which is not accessible any other way that I can see. My real question is: “Do I have this option “set up” correctly”? And speaking of that, I just checked that option again and made sure the “comment” section was checked as active. Please tell me why something so simple and extremely necessary is so confusing? I have poured over the directions several times and found no answer. Thanks a lot for any hints you may know to help me out!

Unless you use the P2 theme or the P2 Breathe theme which are Twitter-like themes, the front pages of our blogs showcase content and comments are collapsed on that page. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display. You cannot change this.
In a new blog, one does not have many posts or comments. In an established blog if the comments did not collapse on the front page it would become a mile long in no time flat and page loading time is a page ranking factor. We have only seconds before visitors refuse to wait and click out.
Additional information
Comments on posts and pages are enabled by default on all WordPress blogs. However, you can enable and disable comments on WordPress.com blogs on this page Dashboard > Settings > Discussion
That is where you set up defaults for comments and other comment options http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules
