how to setup meta tags (og:) for facebook
-
Hello, usually in websites we use meta tags og for facebook in order to specify which icon will be used as a thumbnail when sharing a post. These meta tags work perfectly for most social media.
So in my wordpress.com blog is there something similar I can do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We have no control over the images that Twitter, Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#images-in-publicize

Sometimes these help and sometimes they don’t

Have you read these support docs I will link to below? I believe they will help you.
re: the front page error message found on every new .wordpress.com blog
Nothing Found
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help. There is nothing wrong with your site. By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the front page error message and searchbox that appears on every new WordPress.COM blog will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
I recommend using the step by step tutorial linked to the bottom of your Admin page at https://learn.wordpress.com

The only relevant support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also linked to on the bottom of your Admin page.

Thanks for your reply but this is not what I was looking for. What I want to do when sharing my blog (just my blog not an article) is to choose a specific image to be used as a post thumbnail (no matter where this is going to be posted , linkedin or facebook). The reason that I want to do this is because you’re using a square image as wordpress.com avatar pic while the most social media use a rectangular one with different aspect ratio.
Even If I try to solve my problem by uploading a profile pic with specific dimensions your system will crop it in square size which is definitely not good (here is a screenshot : http://www.tiikoni.com/tis/view/?id=e37f9ca)
So the only way is to use meta tags and add an og image. -

There isn’t a way to access the og tags directly on WordPress.com. When you share the front page of your site, your blavatar will always be shown. Here’s more info on that
