How to shift between DRAFT editors?
-
When I edit a draft, the window shows: “here’s now an easier way to create on WordPress.com! Switch to the improved posting experience.” — Editing a released post uses the new form > all the paragraph spacings have been suppressed (in Visual Tab mode).
Question — How do I select the old “way”?
I need the security of the almost-correct WYSIWYG presentation. How can I go into an old post and enter Updates? AND see the new structure? Am running Win7 with Firefox

You cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it. For locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and viewing stats see here > Navigating the Classic WordPress.COM interface http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/

The Classic Editor will continue to exist in wp-admin. We know some users prefer to use this editor, so we want you to have access to it, instead of phasing it out with the new version of the Dashboard. However, a link to the Classic Editor will not return to the New Editor. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/when-editing-an-old-post-how-do-i-switch-to-the-classic-editor?replies=5Features that won’t be included in the new editor

@timethief Thanks, this helped as much as anything can, I guess. I don’t understand the WP regulations, but I guess I can implement the suggested workarounds.

Mess up Youtube Links

Ignore soft and hard breaks at whim, turning posts into giant unending long paragraphs.
Generally being a pain in the neck. -
Until this past weekend, the default Page editor was still the “classic” editor. Now the same work-around methods using “Pages” has to be used to edit Pages.

Thanks, @sensuouscurmudgeon. Your timeline makes my experience understandable. Ain’t it wonderful?
