how to show and open thumnails of art on my blog
-
Hello I put the html under the html box thing. and I see one painting large. thats ok. but other boxs of thumnails show as a thumnail picture when I am on the edit page. but are not showing as picture thumnails on the real page. I see the words for each picture. but not the thumnail photos at all. I am hoping to keep the one big photo. but have the thumnail photos a person can see. then they can click to open them to a bigger view. ( allso please. I am not famlure with teck turms) Thank you very much artistlariviere

http://artistlariviere.wordpress.com/2008/09/29/hello-world/ Thank you I have never made a blog so EVERYTHING is new to me

From looking at the archive, you have only published one post, the one you reference. I’m not completely sure I understand exactly what your question is.
If you want images to link to the larger image, then my suggestion is to go to settings > media and in the top section under “default media links” select “file” and then click “save changes” at the bottom of the page.
Also, look over the other options on that page and set things up the way you want them.

Thank you so very much for helping me.. I am new at this.. and I just wanted you to know. the reason I am making this blog. is I am married. but my old maiden name is used on my art. and after watching the road show on tv. I thought about all the things I have sold over my live time. and if anyone tryed to find out who La Riviere artist was ..well forget it. there is no info anywhere of me or my work.. yup I mostly have my junk stuff left. but I want to post all the things I have left.. or photos of.. as I am still under a look over from disney too. so I want stuff showing > ITS ME WORLD lololol.
any way I will look here all the time to get this working right. thank you :-) -
i did what you said. i dont think my blog is working / and showing/ and fixed as you said yet

Changing those setting will not effect anything that has already been posted.
I haven’t messed too much with the monotone theme. You might have to wait for someone such as justjennifer to come through.

Did you by chance change the “static front page setting (settings > reading)? Go to settings > reading and under “front page displays” make sure that “your latest posts” is selected and make sure and click the “save changes” button at the bottom of the page.
Also, open your post for edit. Then click on the image. Then click on the icon that appears in the upper left of the image. Then select “thumbnail” or “medium” for the size. The click the “update” button, then click the save button for the post, and then look at your main page.

sir I am under setting. and reading and all it says is http://artistlariviere.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

When I clicked on the archive link I saw one picture so I clicked on it and when
I did the picture showed up but was pushing to the right it looks like you need to
re size the photo then upload it again to your blogGimp is a great photo editor that you can download for free
Gimp is a great starting point for r sizing your photos.Gimp Tutorial (Video) » Gimp – Resizing and Cropping Images for your website
NOTE after re sizing your photo you’ll need to rename the photo because if you
upload un the same file name the WP servers won’t recognize the changes.Example
Photo.jpg
Renamed
Photo2.jpgAlso by linking your name to your blog it will serve two purposes…
(1) When you leave a comment on some one elses blog there readers will be able to find & read your blog…
(2) If you need to ask a support question in the forum then it will make it easier for the volunteers to see what blogging platform your using & will aide them in giving you a more accurate answer to your issue… How to link your name to your blog

“Front page displays” is lower down in the page. Below that it says, “blog pages show at most” and below that it says, “syndication feeds show the most recent” and below that it says, “for each article in a feed, show,” and below that it says, “for each article in an enhanced feed, show” and below that it says, “encoding for pages and feeds” and below that is a “save changes” button.
I can’t see the page you reference because I’m not an admin on your blog.

I just noticed that your image is on photobucket. From the FAQ on monotone:
In order for Monotone to work with your images, they need to be uploaded to your blog and then inserted into the posts from your Media Library. If you are attempting to insert images into your posts and the images are stored on another web site, it will not work.

the click on the add media icon the you see towards the
middle of the pop up window source link paste like there
the towards the bottom click none the insert into post. Here is a blog this using the Monotone theme with the
