How to show comments directly underneath the blog
-
I’m having trouble figuring out if I can just show the actual comments directly underneath the blog. Currently, you have to click “2 Comments” which appears after all the Tags are listed. Then the comments page opens and you can see all the comments. But how do you have them just show up underneath the blog without having to click “2 Comments”. Thanks…. hopefully my question is making sense.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Makes perfect sense and been discussed quite a lot lately.

Thank you, I get it now. One more question…. rather than having…”2 Comments” or whatever the number is be listed at the bottom of the post. Can I get “Leave a Comment” to show up instead? Or is that a function of the theme? And also the order of things at the bottom of the post…. anyway to get “Comment” to show up before the Tags? Thanks for your help. I’m so impressed with the support that’s available on WordPress. I posted a question yesterday and had it also answered in record time. You people are amazing!

This page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page.
Depending on the theme we use when we close comments a phrase like “comments closed” or a similar phrase may appear and if so, it can only be removed by CSS editing after purchasing a custom design upgrade.get “Leave a Comment” to show up instead? What you are asking cannot be done without a custom design upgrade and the required CSS editing. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/ and here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-css/#frequently-asked-questions

Actually, I do have the CSS Custom Design Upgrade. Can you share the required code with me?

I will flag this thread so it is moved into the CSS forum where you can get help with CSS editing.

Alan, it is messy moving it to the beginning of the post metadata, but add this to the bottom of your custom CSS and see what you think. I’ve made the text bold, larger, floated it to the right and moved it down so it stands out.
.comments-link a { float: right; font-size: 120%; font-weight: bold; margin-top: 20px; } -
Excellent, thank you so much! That’s more of what I was trying to accomplish! BTW, I’m Teresa Troy, the designer, working on Al’s blog :) I feel like I’m falsely advertising myself using Al’s blog name. Thanks so much. You helped me out yesterday, as well. I appreciate it.

You can also change the text prompt for leaving comments on the individual post as well, under Dashboard>Settings>Discussion, at the very bottom, “Comment Form”>Prompt and replace “Leave a reply” with your text of choice.
This won’t change the text on the front page of the site, only the individual post.

No need to apologize. No way for you to know who you’re speaking with. Thanks again for all the help. You rock!
