How to show just 1 post on the homepage and 10 posts on the category archive?

  Can we arrange (with CSS customization) to show just one post on the home page and 8 or 10 posts on the category/tag archives?
  How is the setting?

  There really isn’t an elegant way to do what you’re asking using CSS only. There is only one posts per page setting for the home page and the archives pages. Sorry about that!
