How to show Like buttons and Author Byline in Display Posts Shortcode ?

I am trying to create a social networking site. My users will be assigned the position of authors so that they can post in the website. To display the newsfeed, I’ll be using the diaplay posts shortcode. But when using it the posts doesn’t shows the author byline and like button. I thought to use polldaddy rating shortcode for likes but I ended up with not getting the Liker’s account details. So can you please help me out with this. I am using the free account and I am not in a mood to upgrade.

Sorry your question was overlooked, but what you are asking is not possible when using the display posts shortcode. Upgrading won’t change that.

If your theme supports excerpts and/or Content Options, you can choose to display a short summary of the post rather than the full post.
