How to show only several from all on the main page?

Hi,
Is it possible to show only several posts on the main page?
I mean not number of posts (10,20, etc), but only some selected by me posts?
As an example, 1,3,5,9 (from 10 total posts)Thanks

If you would like to do such a thing, you will have to do the following:
1. Sticky the posts which you want to appear at the top
2. Change the settings for the Post Appearance to “Show Top (enter amount of posts)” and update it every time you post.I would not recommend this option, so one theme that I recommend is Oxygen. You can select a few posts, and it will appear as a big headline.
Other minor posts will be posted under that section. Check out my blog for an example of this. -
Tennisfilmproduction’s suggestion is wrong, because sticky posts in conventional themes (like iNove) override the number of posts per page. You need a theme that supports featured posts, as raincoaster suggested. You can read about all the themes and see them in action here:
