How to show pics?

I just started a new blog, using a new theme named Suburbia. I use to add a picture for every post, because it looks better. At the main page of my blog a short piece of the written text is presented together with the picture. Biomedicinsk Analytiker
It´s all my own pictures from my computer. But I don´t always have suitable pictures for the things I´m writing about. Sometimes I find suitable pictures from Wikipedia, using the built in tool to find pictures for my post.
How do I make the picture I chose from this built in tool to appear on the top of the post at my blogs main page? So far the pic just turns up in the post, after opening it, but at the top of the post at the main page it´s just a grey square.
