Anyone who can tell me why the pictures in the headder of my article does not show in the frontpage, only when you open the whole article?

On the main page, Suburbia doesn’t display regularly inserted images. You need to set a featured image to each post of the correct dimensions and that image must be in your Media Library. See here: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/08/23/featured-images/
Setting a Featured Image > http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image Note: If you don’t see the Featured Image module on your Add New or Edit Post page, please make sure you’ve selected Featured Image in your Screen Options.

Thanks, now I found out how to do it :-)
By the way, do you know how I how I can make the layout like it is shown in the example on the Suburbia page? I want 2 colums on top and 5 below as shown. Now it comes up 4 on top and 5 below. -
………..an do you know how how I can change the “S” picture up left on the page? And replace it with my own?

Do you have (5 + 2) 7 posts in the blog? And have you set the blog to display 7 posts on the front page here? > Settings > Reading
Read what the theme description says: With Suburbia, you can enlarge and feature your most important posts by marking them as Sticky posts. The featured image works best with images at least 350 by 248 (width, height).

Hi again.
Do you know how to or if it is possible to insatall a cookie to the blog which blok the hits from my on computer? -
@timethief
Your directions to others have been so clear and helpful. I think I’ve followed them all faithfully, but I still can’t get my 5 sticky posts with 350 X 248 featured images to show on the front page.I have my reading settings set to “static page” (the front page), and “blog pages to show at most” is set to 11.
I’m using one column (plus the left sidebar). The posts show in the bottom area widget, but they do not show the image and a bit of text on the front page as in the demo model.
The site is at trial run.
I must be missing something obvious, but I sure can’t figure out what it is! Help will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks!

Yes you’re missing something obvious: if you want to see your posts on your blog front, you must set your front to display your posts instead of a static page.

@raincoaster
There are links to posts at the bottom in the widget, for example the words “hats” and “socks.”
@justpi
I set the front page to display posts, but no change! Still feel like you’re right, it must be something obvious!Thanks!

Your front page now looks COMPLETELY different. Do the Cookie Dance and take another look: http://raincoastermedia.com/2012/05/01/the-cookie-dance/
You will need, because of the theme you’ve selected, to go back into each of those posts, Edit them and then select the image; Set it as a Featured Image (that’s right near “Insert into post”. Otherwise no images show on the front page of the blog.
You can just choose a new theme that doesn’t use featured images if you want to avoid that work.
