How to show post title only within a category page – WordPress 2017 Theme

    All I want to do is click on one of my categories and see only the posts titles of the posts I have placed within that category. With the default of WordPress 2017 Theme, it shows everything a post contains, making the page SO LONG. No, I am not talking about the title page. The default on the title page includes a little blurb and a ‘read more’ tab, which is ok, but not ideal. Post titles only on the title page would be nice, but my main concern is within my categories.

    I’ve read a ton of forums, and I would like a simple step by step fix for a rookie blogger. One that doesn’t go on and on about a child theme, which is far beyond my level of experience. Please make it simple. OR tell me of a theme that does this automatically. Thank you!
