How to show sticky posts, recent posts and all posts on home page?

How to show sticky posts, recent posts and all posts on home page of my blog using Oxygen theme? My blog is here. http://meettheband.wordpress.com/
At the moment it’s using ‘Recent posts’ rather than ‘static page’. It seems the only way I can get Sticky posts and recent posts to show is to create two versions of the article I want, but then you have duplicate pages in the archive which looks stupid.

I’m new to WordPress but not new to websites, so I’m getting ridiculously frustrated that I can’t figure out how to have them all on my home page. I want my home page to look like this: http://stringtheoryquartet.net/ which uses the Oxygen theme.

So far, I can only get sticky notes using a static blog page but the articles then don’t also display in my recent posts and all posts section of my home page.

I don’t understand how to solve this. Because I’m new to wordpress, maybe there’s a format that I need to follow or something. Probably really easy to solve but honestly, I’m spending hours trying to sort this!!

    Thanks for your help

Did you study the theme instructions?
    http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/oxygen/

Beside that, your blog cannot look the way Oxygen normally does because you don’t have enough posts yet.

Yeah I did loads! It was more that I wanted one specific post to be shown in the photo slider AND in the recent post sections, but I guess that can’t be done.
Thanks anyway, just settling for having it as one or the other.

A post cannot show twice on the same page. No matter what the theme, when you mark a post as as a sticky, it will be removed from its ‘normal’ place on the main posts page and will show at the top.
