How to show widgets on mobile site

The mobile version of my site does not show the left bar widgets (they appear at the final bottom of the main page, but nobody can see them there unless they look specifically). On the other hand, the non mobile version does not always show well on iPad ect, the site appears small, in the left hand corner of a white screen. How can I show the widgets in the mobile version? Is there another theme more adequate for that? Thanks.

  • Your theme is fully responsive, so the mobile theme isn’t really necessary.

Try disabling the mobile theme at Appearance -> Mobile in your blog’s Dashboard.

Thanks for this. I tried disabling the mobile theme as you say. It is now disabled but i stil get it and not the normal theme on the iPad.

  • RIght, the mobile theme doesn’t affect the iPad. That’s how Twenty Eleven was designed to adapt to the iPad’s smaller screen, and that can’t really be adjusted. Essentially, the designer chose to place readable content as a priority over shrinking it so the widgets fit off to the side.
