How to Sign up for a blog

  I have a User Account; a User name and Password.
  I go to the Sign Up page. and am presented with a Blog Domain: www. —-.wordpress.com.
  I do not want http://www.ABC.wordpress.com rather I want to use http://www.ABC.com
  I understand this is an Advanced Service that i must pay for.
  I already own several Domain Names and plan to use one or two of my Domain Names.

  What do I do? Where do I go. Must I create a Blog Domain http://www.ABC.wordpress.com that i will never use?

  Yes. You will need the wordpress.com domain which can then be mapped to your existing domain.

  Incidentally, since you already pay for domain names (and hosting?), you may also want to check out wordpress.org and see if that suits your blog needs.

  Thanks. I am not a techie. I think of wordpress.org as more advanced. I am unsure if I wish to get into it. I am not eager to download something into my computer that I may not use.

  Also, as I wish to use http://www.ABC.com and I do not plan to use http://www.ABC.wordpress.com should I use an unrelated name such as http://www.QWZX.wordpress.com for the dummy name? Thanks Again.
