How to specify categories in columns and tabs

I just changed from a one-sidebar theme to a 2-sidebar with tabs theme. Where do I look to customize which items go in which column or whether or not something is a tab? Right now I have categories and blogroll duplicated in both columns and pages in one colum as well as in tabs, which looks stupid…The theme also said the width is adjustable; I don’t see where to change that either.

7ppearance->Widgets says I’m using 7 widgets in Sidebar 1 and 0 Widgets in Sidebar 2…yet sidebar 2 contains pages, categories, and archives…duplicates of Sidebar 1. If possible, I wanted to use Sidebar 2 strictly for pictures, and would also like to control which items are in the tabs on top, but I don’t see where to control that, or the width.

    See 1106design.wordpress.com if that helps.

    Thanks for your patience.

  • When you haven’t added any widgets to a sidebar, it uses the default set according to the theme code. As soon as you add a widget, the defaults will no longer show up in that sidebar on the blog.
