How to split a long post into several pages
-
Hi!,
I just have this question:
How do I split a long post into several pages?Do I have to write four different posts and link them?
Or is there a simpler way? Thanks!

Four pages? I don’t quite know if that could be done but if you have a post that long, perhaps you should consider splitting it. You would certainly want to use the “read more” tag.
The information on doing a page jump is here http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/06/how-do-i-page-jump/

Thanks, but that’s not what I’m looking for.
What I need is this:

I’ve not seen anything like that here at wordpress.com. I notice that is a wordpress.org blog so perhaps they are using some kind of plug in (which we can’t do here). Or maybe is was coded by hand.

If I link manually several posts, the last one is the first to show up (it’s correct, of course).
In the example post, however, the post is just one, the other are pages. It’s a conundrum, I didn’t think it was so difficult to achieve.
Well, my question arose because I find WordPress to be an amazing blog platform, very easy to use and I’ll use it as a CMS for my next website. It would be very useful to be able to split long posts into several pages.
Thank you and regards.

no problem. do note only some themes are compatible with this code; some are not and would not show the page numbers.
