How to start

Hi, I have logged into WordPress but I am a bit confused as to why I instantly have a blog instead of a website template. Do I have to complete the blog in order to have a website? I am looking for an e-commerce template but couldn’t see any. Also is it easy to get help on wordpress? Can anyone help ? Thanks so much
