  How to start with a free plan using my custom domain name xyz.com?
  I see when I try to add free plan it is also adding xyz.wordpress.com site for $99 and giving me my site xyz.com as free?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello!

  You should see all the available plans here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  The free plan includes just a subdomain option (for example xyz.wordpress.com). If you want to also have a custom domain (like xyz.com), you can have that by starting with a Personal account type.

  Sorry, I logged in, yes I want custom domain, but it is asking me to pay $99 when I chose my domain.

  Please disregard my ask, I figured it out that a paid plan is required for custom domain mapping, minimum $2.99/m plan works I think, I am trying that route.
