How to start WP with front page #2
-
Hello;
How can I configure wordpress to automatically load frontpage 2 instead of the default front page 1. Now WP loads up front page 1 with the posts and I have to click the next page link to go to the second page of posts. I’d like wp to autoload the second page at start up.
Any suggestions anyone?Thanks

Thank you but that’s not what I am looking for. Right now I have wordpress under the reading option setup to show excerpts of my 10 newest posts, then on the bottom there is a link to next page. When I click on that link I get the next 10 posts and so on.
What I am looking for is for WordPress to automatically display the second set of the next 10 posts without having to click link. I noticed that the URL for this is http://domainname.com/page/2/.How can I configure WP to autostart with that url?
Thanks again
Lode

No, the blog in question is http://www.nodeju.com. I am right now using a redirect to load page 2 put that slows down the loading process, that’s why I am hoping to accomplish this directly within WP.
Thanks

2 slight issues:
Your site is self hosted and not on WordPress.com: http://ismyblogworking.com/www.nodeju.com
Your site does not appear to be a WordPress anything.
If the above is true your chance of getting help here is real slim.

Hi;
I am using the latest WP version 3.0. Yes my site is self hosted. If I am at the wrong place for WP support could you direct me where I should be?Thank you.

Well, it is a self-hosted wordpress.ORG blog
<meta name="generator" content="WordPress 3.0.1" />So as auxclass suggests, you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ .

Self hosted sites: http://wordpress.org/support/
You will also need to get a new user account as the Forums are separate.
