Hi. I think that someone going through every page on your blog could simply be a case of a very curious visitor who likes your content and is out there to explore it. If they were out there to copy the contents of your blog, wouldn’t they be using some kind of automated process that doesn’t take 3/4 of an hour? Just a thought.
I’ll let another volunteer give you their thoughts about copyright and content theft deterrence, as that is not my domain of expertise.

Could be someone that has a handyman business and stumbled across Harry’s site and decided they would “upgrade” their content courtesy of Harry – not a professional internet content thief and might not even be all that web savey – so no fancy bot.
There are some things that can be done to find stolen content – others will probably leave some help later.

i don’t mind someone doing copy and paste of a lot of posts thats what they are there for , but i would hate someone to copy everything i have to start a site of their own

@harry
Hello there,
As your is blog visibility is set to “public” you cannot stop anyone from visiting it. The only way that can be done is by making the blog visibility to “private”.1. You can use Google search to search for copies of your content on the web.
2. You can use copyscape to search for copies of your page on the web.
http://copyscape.com/
3. You can use plagium beta to search for copies of your page on the web.

Don’t worry too much about it. If you end up seeing your stuff posted online, just find out the site’s IP by doing a WHOIS and track down what host they’re using and contact them saying that they’re copying your content without your permission. They’ll take care of it.

Also visit these sites:
http://myfreecopyright.com/
Creates a digital fingerprint automatically for each new post you publish and emails you the info. Very useful should an argument about the original author of the content arises.http://creativecommons.org/
Let’s you put up a notice in your site that tells people about your copyright policy. It’s a great way to instruct people whether or not they can copy from your blog and even if they copy should they credit you or if they can adapt your content and redistribute it for personal/commercial/non-commercial purpose. -
ok thank you all i’ll look at them , as i said i dont mind at all i think thats what the web/blog etc are for , the person is not on to-day so far , maybe they have enough :)

@harrythehandyman
Many people are ignorant of the fact that whatever we create is automatically under our own copyright and cannot be used without the creator’s permission. If you wish you can place a copyright notice/licence on your blog. However, do note that it only operates as a deterent to some content thieves. Others will ignore it. There are 4 options we can use to attempt to protect digital assets online that I know of found here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2008/10/07/how-to-copyright-your-digital-works/If you do find that your content has been stolen then the support documentation entry for dealing with that is found here. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/content-theft-what-to-do/
