How to stop email comments

Add topic to favorites
I get email whenever there is a new comment to approve. How do I make those people stop giving me those email comments? Its gonna fill my email once my blog is popular. Can ya please help?

Go to Dashboard — > Options — > Discussion and turn it off there.

There is no “send email notification of comments” option to turn off at this location.

Yes there is. Scroll down and read the choices.
E-mail me whenever:
* Anyone posts a comment
* A comment is held for moderation

Before a comment appears:
* An administrator must always approve the comment
* Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
* Comment author must have a previously approved comment

Just a little questionn. Don’t mind getting them in my inbox just not in the wrong inbox. I changed the user of my blog but the comments are send to both users (old and new one). The former user already has been deleted as a contributer and the e-mail has been changed.

What am I doing wrong?

Go to options > general and check that the admin email is correct.

My problem is that I have the following checked:

E-mail me whenever:
* Anyone posts a comment
* A comment is held for moderation

but I’m not getting email notifications when someone posts a comment! Does anyone know why this might be?

I have received almost 50 Spam comments today, and therefore received an overwhelming number of e-mail notifications.

How are these Spams getting through? They seem to be all from the same person. Can I “block” this person?

dashboard -> options -> discussion
scroll down to ‘comment blacklist’ and insert the details of that commenter.

Did you have a look at your spam folder? Maybe your spam filter decided that those mails are spam (can happen).
