how to stop email Comments from a site?

  I’ve carefully edited my list so that it’s said “You get No emails and No Comments”; and in the end I stopped following the site.
  I’s STILL receiving endless Comments on an article in it. It’s driving me bonkers!
  How do I stop this, please?

  You click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email you receive.
