How to stop emails?

Is there a way to stop my subscribers from getting emails from the blog posts? I don’t want the followers of the site to be getting emails from the blog portion of the site. Instead I am going to manually send out an email each week with updates about who the next guest on the show is. I just can’t figure out how to stop the emails.

Hi there,
WordPress.com site subscriptions are managed on the subscriber end so unfortunately, you will not be able to select which users receive notifications of your new posts. If a user is subscribed to your blog, you also are unable to turn off new post notifications. The only way to stop a follower from receiving notification of a new post would be to set your blog to private following the steps here:
