How to stop links to my WordPress website showing the 'Mysterious Man' image
-
Hi, every time we post links to our WordPress posts we are often greeted with an image for the page as the ‘Mysterious Man’ instead of one of the actual images on the page. How do we stop this and remove the ‘Mysterious Man’ image from our link previews?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi glowmortgages,
How do we stop this and remove the ‘Mysterious Man’ image from our link previews?
You’ve posted to the WordPress.com forums but glow.mortgage is a WordPress.org site hosted by Simple Servers. There is some information about the differences between the two in this guide:
We are only able to help with WordPress.com sites here. However, support for WordPress.org sites is available on these forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/
You could also ask for help in the Twenty Seventeen support forum:

Best of luck!

Could you please remove this entire thread as it was made in error as you correctly identify.
If you are unable to remove this post directly, please could you privately email our business or provide us on here with an email address where we can issue a notice for this post to be removed for privacy reasons by our legal team. Many Thanks.

From the sticky post at the head of these support forums:
Think before you post – this is a public forum. Forum topics will only be deleted at the discretion of Staff if they represent a valid security or personal safety concern.

Thank you very much for the response but we would really appreciate the removal of this thread due to the fact we were not expecting a WordPress staff member to reveal our server location, host and WordPress theme all in response to our enquiry.
This is very much a major privacy concern for us as well as a website security concern.

I’m sorry but please note hat your WHOIS and server information is public information available to everyone with internet access.

What was not explained or defined at all during the ‘Get Help’ process on this website was that the ‘Contact Us’ form would be posting our domain name along with our enquiry in this public forum. It simply says ‘Subject’ and ‘What are you trying to do?’.
Please could a staff member contact us or remove reference to our domain name. There is an additional privacy and security concern on this page which I cannot comment on, or refer to for obvious reasons in this public forum.

This thread is tagged in the sidebar with modlook for Staff review and response. That being said the site is online, and available to all with internet access.
