How to stop meta description being first paragraph of static landing page?

  • Unknown's avatar

I recently changed my landing page to a static page, as opposed to the blog page where posts appeared. However, after doing this my meta description changed to be the first few sentences of my landing page. Before this, it was the “tagline” set on the Adelle theme customization page.

Is there any way to control what the meta description will be?

I seem to forever be solving problems, only for others to pop up!

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi there,

I visited your site, and it looks as if your site is once again set to display the blog on the frontpage (http://thegayfacts.com/) rather than a static page. Does the page you wanted to use still exist on your site?

I can still take a look, even though it is not set as your frontpage, I just need a link. :)

However, after doing this my meta description changed to be the first few sentences of my landing page. Before this, it was the “tagline” set on the Adelle theme customization page.

Where are you seeing this text displayed?

    Thanks for the additional info!
