How to Stop Receiving Useleess email reportson import?
-
Hi I would like to know how I can turn off receiving what I consider to be totally useless email reports that provide no information whatsoever when importing xml data?
WordPress use to provide immediate feedback which was great but all of a sudden without warning it was replace with a email which provides me with no information and leaves me often in the dark as to the success of the import.
Now instead I get a message that says.
Processing…
“We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.”
The email is even less helpful, it just clogs up my email box forcing me to apply a mail rule to bounce the report.
I would like to be able to have the opportunity to turn it off. It would be great if I could get beck the live import report. (It was much more helpful) even better would be the option to pass all parameters in a cron job.
Anyway the main task now is to turn off this stupid report.
Any help appreciated.

A good option would be to provide a tick box on the import screen which allows the user to determine the method of report. Email, live on screen or none.
