How to Subscribe to my RSS Feed
-
I have read the forum and FAQ’s on this topic, but they haven’t answered my question. My theme has a Feed on Posts/Comments link at the top of the page, but clicking on them goes to code. How can a user simply click on the link and have the browser ask where they want the feed to go to? I used an RSS link in my blogger blog and can’t figure out why it doesn’t work here.
Thanks in advance – Kathy

The method you used with Blogger is not working here probably because WordPress strips the Javascript.
I don’t think there’s much you can do with those links at the top but you can have a separate “Subscribe To Feed” link in your sidebar. But since you seem to be using Internet Explorer, I advice you to transfer your feed to “FeedBurner” and then get that URL and put it as the target of the “Subscribe to feed button”. For example, my feed URL is http://feeds.feedburner.com/deadend and you can see that it’s displaying reader options there. So you can burn your feed on the same website and you’ll get a similar page.

@sulz: Her problem seems to be that she’s using an older version of Internet Explorer and that displays only a weird sort of a code when she clicks on that button on the top of the page. It works fine with Mozilla Firefox.
So as I said, try burning your feed on that website I mentioned above and it will work with Internet Explorer as well.
