How to suggest/request a widget?

    The SPCA has a cool widget to show an adoptable pet in your local area and I’d really like to add it to my sidebar but it uses scripts so I can’t. The support page seemed to suggest that we could suggest/request WordPress approved widgets. Can I do that here? The widget they have that I like is at petfinder.com and is the featured pet widget:

    I’ve tried searching the forum to see if anyone else has already asked this but all I found was someone asking about why the Petfinder widget disappeared when they tried to add it. Is there a way for WordPress to “package” this into a widget we can use?

    Sorry, I just saw the Ideas forum and then read the one asking for a widget for UrbanSpoon. Won’t hold my breath.
