Hi there,
I see that both the premium upgrade and the domain subscription are expired. I’d be happy to remove those from the account, but both upgrades are associated with an account different than the one you are contacting us from.
To verify ownership, if you can post in this thread from the account/username associated with the upgrades, I’ll remove them both.
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.
Yes I know this. The owner is Sascha who is the CEO of the company and he works on Nwe York so sometimes it is difficult for me to coordinate on this.
What I don’t understand is why bcnopenchallenge.org is still visible in internet when both the domain and the Premium plan are expired.
I would like to register bcnopenchallenge.org where we are keeping all our domains but when I tried I was told that the domain is not available. I suspect it is because it is still blocked by WordPress. Can you tell me when it will be available?
Thanks,
Luca

Hey there,

We don’t recommend letting a domain expire, if you want to keep it. Here’s why:
* Domains don’t become immediately available after they expire. Most registrars offer a grace period of about ten days to two weeks after expiration. During this time, they keep the domain so that you can still renew it. However, the domain isn’t usable while expired, so it wouldn’t point visitors to your site.
* Once the grace period is up, the registrar may sell the domain to someone else before you can renew it. If this happens, you won’t be able to recover the domain, unless you purchase it from the new owner. In some cases, recently expired domains are purchased with the intent to charge you more money to get the domain back.
If you want to keep the domain, the best solution is to renew the domain as soon as possible.
If you don’t want to keep the domain with your current registrar, you can always transfer it to another registrar and still point the domain to your WordPress.com site.

Hi there, Thanks for the quick reply. I am a bit confused about one issue: What am I pay the €8.25 per month paid yearly? For the domain or for the Premium Plan? And what is the difference between the two? I am quite happy to renew the domain but not for that price. As I said I would like to have a free plan for the site and the domain registered somewhere, in WordPress maybe for now and then transfer it. How can I do it? Thanks for the help, Luca

Hey Luca,
The €8.25 per month paid yearly is for the premium upgrade, not the domain. The domain is only €18 per year. You can go to our pricing page that lists everything that comes with the premium plan. The price of the domain is included in the premium upgrade, but you can renew the domain separately from the rest of the plan.
How can I do it?
To renew, you’ll again need to contact the owner of account who has access to upgrades.
Thanks!
