How to switch domains??? HELP FOR A SCHOOL WEBSITE!

  So our old website didn’t look so didn’t look so nice, so I made a new website with wordpress.com. The old website was with wordpress.org. Now I want to switch their domains. I’m not sure how to do this. I went to my domains and entered in the old website’s domain, but it didn’t work.

  I know we have to buy a domain, but we already brought the old domain, but my teacher lost the password and username to the domain account.

  Can we cancel the old domain and buy back the domain without fear someone will take it in the transfer?

  Is there a switch button to transfer the payment and website?

  Is there a way to switch the domain without going to the domain account? (she is still looking)

  It looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet:

  Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  You will need to contact your registrar’s support team to get this sorted out.

  Without the login info for your domain registrar, it is unlikely that you would be able to cancel it. However, you REALLY don’t want to cancel. When you cancel, there is a VERY good chance that you will loose control of the domain and never be able to gain it back.

  No. There is not. We have no connection with your registrar and former webhost. So there is no way to internally switch anything.

  No. There is not. You will need to gain access to the account at the registrar where the domain is registered. According to the WHOIS info, your registrar appears to be Enom.
