how to switch from wordpress.org to wordpress.com

    I have a wordpress.com account because I use jetpack on a wordpress.org account. If I close my self-hosted account, what will happen to my wordpress.com account. Can I still use it (and my url) for a wordpress.com site. If I want to import content from my wordpress.org site would I have to do that before closing that account? Would I need to use a different url at wordpress.com before closing the .org account? I hope I’m making sense here. Many thanks, Janina
