How to switch my real blog with my "dummy" blog?
-
Apparently I created a blog myname.wordpress.com months ago, just poking around, thinking about what I can do. I have now started working on a real blog, having assigned it mynamework.wordpress.com
Ironically, I did this because myname.wordpress.com was not available (because I had used it months ago!!!)I would like to know my options:
Copy the whole blog page by page to the first address?
Delete the old “dummy” page, and change the address of the new blog? What if I delete it and then can’t get use the same name again?
Is there an easy way to copy over the whole blog with theme settings and portfolio projects? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
in WordPress.com, there is import / export function. So you can use it. Please refer to two instructions about import / export function.

Hi there,
The instructions above is the only way to do this. Please don’t delete the old site, as that will permanently remove the address and you won’t be able to use it again.
You’ll only be able to export your content, i.e. posts and pages. Any customizations you’ve made to your theme you’ll need to re-do on the correct site.
Let us know if you run into any trouble.
