How to take all 3 of my blogs premium without being overcharged

    Hello I’ve been with wordpress since 2013. With financial difficulties I had to let my domain panacea-cafe.com expire. Now as I’m ready to launch my new blogs it seems impossible without having to pay far beyond my budget. I already spent a fortune on panaceacafe.ca, dailypracticemag.com, amethyst.love. On my GoDaddy I connected the pages. What must I do to get my domains up and running? Without going completely out of pocket.

    Hi there,

    From looking account I can see you have already already mapped a domain to each of your sites.

    What must I do to get my domains up and running?

    The domains mapped to your account are registered through GoDaddy so providing domain mapping is active (which it is), you will be able to use that domain for your WordPress.com site. The whole process is explained here:

    To finish the mapping process, there a couple of more steps that need to be completed.

    1. Add the MX records (for email) in your WordPress.com account:

    You can find the MX records in your GoDaddy account. This support document shows you where to add to add them:

    DNS Records

    2. Update the DNS records in your GoDaddy account.

    Once the MX records have been added in your WordPress.com account, the DNS records need to be updated. The DNS records you need to add are:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    You can also ask GoDaddy to do this for you if you’d rather. There is more information and a sample email to send to them, here:

    These settings will need to be updated for each domain you wish to map. Once the settings have been updated, it can take up to 72 hours for the details to fully update.

    Hi there Gemma so this is my issue. I paid to upgrade all 3 of my sites to personal plans. Issue is I had gotten my domains from GoDaddy because I thought that was the mapping requirement. It wasn’t until I upgraded the plan did I find out I get a free domain. One domain ends in .love and I understand that WordPress doesn’t carry it. But I went ahead and paid 48×3 to upgrade with an addition to my $80 cost from GoDaddy. As a starting business it’s difficult enough to deal with costs but this was unnecessary. To top it off I’ve been trying for days with GoDaddy & Visa to reverse it but they say it’s on WordPress and not them. How can I be proactive here? Because I’m out of pocket now
