how to take my wordpress.com site to a server to be able to customise it

    Hello
    I am very new with all this and would like to know how to transfer my wordpress.com site to a server to i can customise it much more.
    So far I have a server, and have told the server I want my guineubinder.com address site (will ihave to pay again? will they transfer it themselves? should i sign up for a wordpress.org) and I have downloaded cyberduck and the wordpress folder and am uploading it. But after that I know nothing.
    any help is most welcome

    Here is a comparison of the differences between WordPress.com free hosted blogs and WordPress.org blogs. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ Note that there is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs. Also note that we do not provide any support for local installs of WordPress on your own server. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.org bloggers.
