How to take over another person's dormant domain?

  How do I purchase another person’s domain that appears to be dormant? Mine is michaelekelley.wordpress.com but I would like to purchase michaelekelley.com. At the same time I would like to take over michaelkelley.wordpress.com which has not been touched since March 2009. Ultimately both wordpress.com sites would point to michaelekelley.com.

  You can purchase (register) michaelekelley.com and map it to your existing blog – that renders the name of your base blog mute as visitors will see michaelekelley.com when they visit. Cost about $ 20 / year
