How to take ownership of deceased relatives domain?

    Hello everyone. I am trying to see if it is possible to somehow take ownership of my deceased uncles domain site. He passed away last year and had a small blog type domain here. I am worried that something may happen to it either by being deleted due to inactivity or someone else taking over the domain name. There are a lot of sentimental pictures and posts that he made that I would hate to lose. If anyone has information on how to go about this process or who to contact about this it would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time and good health to anyone reading this.

    Just to set your mind at ease, and to perhaps help anyone else looking for this information, WordPress.com sites are never deleted due to inactivity, so your uncle’s blog should remain accessible here for as long as WordPress.com itself exists.
