How to take the sub-pages away from sidepar
-
Let me just try to explain first. I made a blog about professional cycling and decided for wordpress instead of blogger, because here I can make pages. In the blog part I put news and in the pages part results. But as there are lot of races I made a sub-pages for very race.
Now comes a problem. Every sub-page is now seen in the front page and soon there will be a lot of sub-pages that will make my blog look ugly and a bit complicated. I would like to show in the first page only a parent page and clicking there would appear child-pages. Is it possible?

I am new to this wordpress.com headache, oops I mean website. I found your question while looking for an answer to my own. I think I know how you do this. Go into the “presentation” page. At the top of that page you’ll see the term “widget” — click on it. When re-directed to that page scroll down to the bottom — you’ll see a bunch of “boxes” with words in each of them. On the left side of the page, you will see a column right above all of these widget boxes. Inside of that column you will see a “box” that contains the word “pages.” Put your mouse over that box and click on it — and drag it down to where all of those small boxes are located. Then, release. This should replace that “pages widget” back with the other widgets, and remove those subpages from your blog. Go back to the top and “view site” to make sure it worked.
