How to transfer a domain upgrade that was part of a premium blog upgrade

  I have just transferred a blog premium upgrade to my new blog. This includes a domain change, but I can’t figure out how to make that happen. The domain name that I want is still linked to another blog. When I try to transfer, I get a message saying a transaction message could not be found.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Sure! Can you just provide me exactly which domain you want transferred to another blog? Also please tell me which WordPress.com site you want it transferred to. I’d be happy to take care of this for you!

  Thanks, Grace. The domain I want transferred is kellyrobart.com Actually when I look at my admin page it shows as kellydotrobartdotworpress.com, but in the URl window it shows as kellyrobart.com

  Can you please transfer this over to the kelrobart.wordpress.com site?

  Hi Kelly,

  I have transferred the domain: kellyrobart.com to kelrobart.wordpress.com. Please note that the domain: kelrobart.wordpress.com never deletes (you will see this domain in your dashboard), which is actually a good thing so if you one day decide not to renew the domain or it expires accidentally all your content will still be available at kelrobart.wordpress.com.

  However, as long as you keep your domain renewed, your readers will see your site at kellyrobart.com. Even if they go to kelrobart.wordpress.com they will be automatically redirected to kellyrobart.com.

  I saw that the Premium Theme: Photographer was added to kellydotrobartdotworpress.com. Would you like that transferred to kelrobart.wordpress.com as well?

  Thank you so much! Will I receive notification that I need to renew?

  And, no, I don’t need the premium theme transferred. The twenty fourteen theme works well for what I need.

  Hi Kelly,

  Yes you will get multiple email notices to renew to the email address on the account (sometimes our emails can end up in Spam so please check there as well); however, just to make sure, you can enable auto-renewal by going to Store > My Upgrades in your Dashboard.

  The auto-renewal will go through one month in advance, but please note the expiration date will still be exactly one year from the date you purchased it (you won’t lose a month).
