How to transfer domain name on another web hosting site?

    Hi,

    I have a registered domain here in wordpress (arnelcolar.com). I did not pay for its extension when it expired because I want to transfer my domain name into another web hosting service.

    Can I recover my domain name and transfer it to another hosting service even if my domain name has expired?

    I checked arnelcolar.com and it expired 48 days on 2010-04-19. It takes about 80 days for a domain name to completely expire and you need to wait for that to happen before you can try registering it again somewhere else.

    Normally, it’s better to renew the domain at the current registrar and then transfer it as opposed to letting it expire because the expiration process takes a long time.
