How to transfer from free domain (wordpress.com) to new domain (.com)?

    I registered my blog domain at “waynestatecomposition.com” for $18, and was hoping that the former site that I had at “waynestatecomposition.wordpress.com” would go there. Although it transfers from “waynestatecomposition.wordpress.com” to “waynestatecomposition,” the content I had at the original blog will not show up.

    Yes, the content at waynestatecomposition.wordpress.com is what is being used with your custom domain name.

    However, you have multiple WordPress sites under your user account:
    http://wordpress.com/#!/my-blogs/

    Is it possible that the content you wanted to use with your custom domain is on one of those other sites?

    Also, looking at your site logs for waynestatecomposition.wordpress.com, I notice that you deleted a number of posts around 2 weeks ago. Is the content you’re missing here:
    https://waynestatecomposition.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=post

    Please note anything in your site’s trash will be periodically deleted. If you want to unpublish those posts, restore the posts and change them to a draft status.
