How to transfer info from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. Where's my site??

I didn’t realize that downloading wordpress.org and setting up my site would be completely unrelated to my actual side with wordpress.com. Is there anyway to transfer all of my posts, etc to the wordpress.org? Plus, the .org site says “localhost…” how can I get it attached to my .com? I’m at the point of complete frustration and ready to just delete the entire thing altogether and start somewhere else. Any help would be tremendously helpful. Thanks in advance.

To help clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

You’ll want to make sure that your WordPress.org site is hosted with a webhost, rather than having it on your local computer.
