I saved my Live Space on my pc and I don’t know how to transfer it to my WP

Hi. We need more information to answer your question. In what form have you saved your Windows Live Space to your computer? Is it a series of HTML pages?
Also, have you tried this instead?

@fullyvalais, there is a procedure where the MS servers and the WordPress servers talk together and the two of them transfer virtually all of your stuff over to a blog of your choice here. The output file as I understand it is HTML only and I don’t think it can be imported here.
My suggestion is to contact staff here directly, if you no longer have access to your spaces blog and they should be able to reset things and get your stuff over here for you. One nice thing is that at least you have a full backup on your computer now.

What ever is on your PC should remain available for your own use until you delete the files from your PC. I don’t know what the file looks like but if it is a plain html file that you can open with a text editor then I can’t think of a reason there would be any issue.

I thought since it goes to the Internet Explorer maybe once the blog doesn’t exist anymore I won’t be able to open it.

We cannot possibly open files that are on your own computer.
You are better off to use the Export feature that Microsoft offers right from your Live Spaces. I don’t think you can use files of that format.

Yes, thank you. I will export my blogs to WordPress later. I just wanted for my peace of mind, to know I could access it even if WordPress close down, one day like Space Life did.

Saving it to your computer is a good move ahead of time, just so that you have it. WordPress is very secure and MS and WP have take measures to make sure that nothing is deleted or lost, but still a good idea to have that backup.

It is good that we had a lot of time to prepare ourselves.
