How to transfer my WordPress.com blog to a different hosting
-
Hi there
I am searching for how to do a “GUIDED TRANSFER”. I got this page http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=guided+transfer
I then clicked on the firt item “GUIDED TRANSFERS” it took me to http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/
This last page says “The Guided Transfer is a one-time fee of $119.00 per blog transferred, and is available for purchase in the Store tab of your dashboard”
I go to my Dashboard and select STORE. It takes me to https://jaeda1.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php
This last page states “Guided Transfer – The Guided Transfer product is not currently available for blogs that use premium themes. You can transfer your WordPress.com blog elsewhere by following these steps.” where the words “THIS STEPS” are a link to http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
The above page states that ” If you want to move your WordPress.com blog to a self-hosted blog using the WordPress.org software, you have the option to purchase a Guided Transfer. ” with “GUIDED TRANSFER” linked to http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=guided+transfer
This is the first item listed above. This is running in circles with no answer.
Can you please advise what to do to get my WordPress.com blog jaeda1.wordpress.com transferred to another hosting provider, including the already paid premium theme “LifeStyle”
thanks

yes, I am trying to.
We, here in Australia, have to wait until Tuesday to be able to get support from http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ as WordPress support stops for the American Weekend.
-
The contact form was closed this weekend, but it’s open again.
If you are still seeing a message saying it’s closed, try emptying your cache memory.

I did place a request as suggested in the http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ page.
thanks.
I am new to this support, and was wondering how long does it take normally to obtain a response via the contact page. Only a guesstimate would be fine. By setting an approximate expectation i will then refrain from checking upon the issue unnecessarily.
thnks

We honestly have no idea, because we are users like you.
But the best advice I can give you is to check your spam folder once in a while and to be patient. Do not write again, as it will only make your wait time longer (making your question appear more “recent” than it really is, and considering that staff answers questions starting with the “oldest”).

Hey!
Thanks for the info. I do check my emails, including junk folders several times a day as this is an issue that we are very eager to complete.
I do understand that sending another request will not achieve anything. Thanks for the advise never the less.
I sit tight and wait.
BIG THANKS!
