Site Stats are not transferrable as they are tracked per domain. Though, we can transfer all your followers to the new blog if you’d like.

This guide will step you through the process of moving your blog to a WordPress.org instance.

As we only support blogs hosted here at WordPress.com, all issues with the new blog–including the importing of the file–must be taken to the WordPress.org support community.

If you’d like assistance moving your WordPress.com blog to WordPress.org, we have a service called Guided Transfer that does all the work for you.

Hi Kardotim. Thanks for your prompt reply. I’ve already made the switch for my blog from wp.com to wp.org. Everything went fine, except I want to take my followers with me, so I would like all my followers from wp.com to be switched to my new blog on wp.org. What do I need to do to make that happen?

I’ve just transferred all followers to your new blog.

    Happy Blogging :-)

Thanks! You’re the best! So now how do I see a list of my followers from the dashboard of my new wp.org blog? They used to show up automatically on the dashboard of the .com blog, but now I don’t see them on any admin page of the .org blog. Is that a plugin I have to install? If so, I’ve searched the plugins and can’t find anything that does that.

Sorry to be such a pain. Once I get established over here on wp.org I don’t anticipate problems. The transition actually went pretty smooth. Just have to set up housekeeping. :-)

In your blog dashboard of your WordPress.org blog, you can go to Jetpack -> Site Stats, and your followers will be listed in the Subscriptions module.

Thanks! They’re there now, but they weren’t before. I think it just took some time for them to register on Jetpack on my new wp.org blog.

Actually, upon closer look, I see that only my 300+ email followers were transferred to my new wp.org blog, and those are the only ones that have shown up on my Jetpack->Site Stats admin panel. I had almost 700 wp.com followers on my old wp.com blog, in addition to the 300+ email followers. Were my wp.com followers transferred to my new wp.org blog, as well? And if so, how do I see them from my admin panel? They don’t show up on Jetpack->Site Stats.

  • The WordPress.com Reader does not support self-hosted WordPress.org blogs, so non-email WordPress.com subscribers are not transferred.
