How to try out templates

    I am new to creating a website and created a draft of one over on Wix. Someone told me WordPress is better and I also want to try a premade template. But I am confuse bc it seems WordPress wants a paid commitment to connect my domain name.

    I am not sure I connected it at Wix yet since I didn’t “publish” it yet. So does that mean I am still “free” to connect it anywhere?

    I registered my domain name with google.

    If I commit to “trying out” WordPress, am I “bound” to them by agreeing to transfer my domain name to them to just try it out?

    There is a short trial period within which you can cancel and get a refund.

    For new domain registrations, you must cancel within 48 hours of purchase to receive a refund. There are no refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, after 48 hours.

    For plans and all other purchases, you must cancel within 30 days of purchase to receive a refund. If you used the domain credit to register a new domain, the normal cost of registration will be deducted from your refund. If you mapped an existing domain, or never used a domain, you will receive a full refund. There are no refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, after 30 days.
