how to turn backon proofreading/spellcheck

  I would like my proofreading/spellcheck back on asap..thank (email visible only to moderators and staff) (when writing new posts)

  Hi,

  The proofreading / spellcheck featured was removed about 8 months ago. See the topic Spellcheck feature.

  Staff member @kokkieh said the following on page 1 of that thread:

  There has not been any problem with the spell checker. We removed the feature as it has become a bit redundant lately. Most major web browsers have some form of this already built-in, and free extensions like https://www.grammarly.com/ are making huge strides in the field, so we’re removing this feature from our product to avoid duplicating features that others already do much better.

  A number of people were not happy about the removal of the feature (including myself), and some expressed their displeasure in posts in the thread.

  Actually it was at least 9 months ago that spell check was removed, or began being removed. The earliest report I’ve discovered in forum topics is, blocks and spell check gone overnight, dated April 16, 2019.
