how to unblock an add

  • Unknown's avatar

I meant to only delete a pic in my gallery. So when I write clicked the pic all I saw was block and ad? So I clicked it and everything that had to do with P was gone…meaning texts were gone. So how can I undo this…how can i unblock the ad P?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Forgive me, I’m a bit confused about what you’re describing here. What it sounds like is you went to edit a gallery in your post and when you clicked on it the entire post was gone? Could you clarify that for us?

    Kind regards,
    Jason

Here is the thing. althought safari is my main browser, some of the texts are gone there, but not in chrome. if you go to my site and youclick on bee diary. you should see some entries in blue. In chrome you can click on those and the link comes up to the pertaining article. But not so in safari…there is an oops page…my material is gone..The reason for this is i once tried to get rid of a pic, right clicked what said (BLOCK AD). when I did this. wordpress said from now on, anything with P will be blocked..P, meaning text….so there is no text to be seen. in safari

    Ah! Sorry for misunderstanding.

It sounds like you have some kind of adblocker for Safari and when you were editing your post you blocked an element which is now messing up the way it displays on your browser.

I just checked for Safari and Chrome and your website looks great for both! On this page:

    Bienentagebuch / Beekeepers Diary

All the links work for both Safari and Chrome (except for the second to last which doesn’t work for either browser.)

This is an issue with your web browser not WordPress. I don’t have adblocker for Safari. So I cannot give you specific directions but do the following and see if this fixes the issues:

    1. Disable your ad blocker entirely and visit your site. (See if that fixes it.) If not let me know and we’ll have to dig deeper.

    2. Try disabling the ad blocker only for your site.
If that works I would leave it at that.

Let me know if that helps!

    Kind regards,
    Jason

Now that is weird. The second to last one in the bee diary used to work…since I got someone from another blog who said they liked it…I hope i have not been hacked…can you check the rest of the site…that you see everything is connected. i would be grateful.
i dont know how to disable a block ad…on safari..can you walk me through that.thanks

    Good morning!

Hmm…. today that link is working fine. It could have been a glitch, expired link, or perhaps you updated the link. Everything else looks fine! I’m quite confident you have not been hacked.

Here are some directions on how to disable adblock. It might not be exactly like this depending on what software you have. There are directions for four browsers. Safari is the third one.

Let me know if that doesn’t work or where you get stuck if you get stuck.

    Kind regards,

    Jason

    Dear Jason,

I just got a message that someone from the European Union looked at my blog. Is that someone from Brussels? Before i was told certain countries were looking at my blog. What constitutes the European union? thanks, Mimi

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi Mimi,

Was it a message that was sent to you from someone or are you looking at your stats page and seeing that somewhere? The EU is several countries. You can check out theEU wiki page.

    Kind regards,
    Jason

    dear Jason,
I belong to the EU so I know what it means. Earlier I saw I got posts from Germany which is also in the EU without it saying EU. COuld you tell me from which country it was that looked at my sight. Thanks

    Mimi,

I’m sorry! I misunderstood your question. :( I did some searching and think I found what you are looking for:

the European Union statistic refers to visitors that our geolocation provider believes are in the European Union but cannot be tracked to a specific country.

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/getting-visitors-from-european-union?replies=4

So if they cannot locate the exact country but it seems to come form somewhere in the EU it will show up as EU.

Let me know if that’s not what you were looking for.

    Kind regards,
    Jason
