How to unlink an ORG blog from COM blogs?
-
My org blog is linked to my com blogs. I desperately want to unlink the org blog so that I can manage it without the com connection. I think this happened because I signed up for ORG using the same user name that I had for COM.
I tried changing the user name and blog address but the org blog is still linked to the com site. I would love to delete the com blogs, but am afraid that these will also delete the org blog. Please help! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you! To clarify, under one .com account I have two .com blogs set up (mkfr.wordpress.com, unlinkblog.wordpress.com) and one .org blog linked to it (probably because I accidentally signed up for .org with the .com account information; didn’t realize that these blogs could be connected). I want to make the .org blog my primary blog and completely delete the two .com blogs. It seems that since the .org blog is linked to the .com blog, deleting the .com blogs may also delete the .org blog.

Hello, I would like to remove these two blogs:
mkfr.wordpress.com
unlinkblog.wordpress.comAren’t these the URLs? If I’m not providing the right info, I apologize and please let me know. Thank you so much.

Oh, those are WordPress.com blogs.
Please follow this guide to delete them:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-site/Please read the warnings and advice before deleting a site, as we can’t revert a site deletion for any reason.
If you want to hide your site instead, you can use the following guide to make your site private so only you and other members of the site can view it when logged in:

Please also note that what I really want is my ORG blog to be UNlinked from the COM blogs. If deleting the COM blogs would delete the ORG blog I think another route should be taken.
-
I know, I’m afraid to delete them because I’m worried that it’d also delete my ORG blog linked to them. Could you please help?
-
Deleting the COM blogs would not affect your ORG blog. That is hosted on another server and cannot be affected by anything you delete on WordPress.com.
-
Even though the ORG blog is linked to COM blog? I think my issue is being misunderstood here.
-
The ORG blog isn’t linked to your COM blog. It is linked to your WordPress.com ACCOUNT, which can be linked to multiple blogs (COM or ORG). If you delete the ORG blog from your account, all you’re doing is unlinking it from your account, not deleting it off of the server it’s hosted on.

And just to make sure there’s no confusion here, take a look at the following article to make sure we’re on the same page as to what WordPress.com and WordPress.org are:

Yes I understand that. But I can’t delete the ORG blog from my COM account. There is no option to do so. Is it normal to have your ORG blog linked to the COM account and also to your COM blogs? The COM blogs I can delete; but there are no administrative options for me to delete the ORG blog from the COM account/blog.

If you want to unlink your .ORG blog from your .COM account, you need to do that from the plugin that was used to link it to your account (usually JetPack or Akismet)
-
Ok, what is the URL of the .org blog you want to remove?
What you gave me earlier was two .com blogs.

I have removed the blog as requested.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
