How to unlock my domain name to move to another hosting?

  I would like to use wordpress.org and host my page on a different server. Although I have a “bulk” address (estudiaaleman.wordpress.com), the domain estudiaaleman.com (.es as well) seems to be blocked, I assume in case I wanted to purchase it. My question is: how to do to unlock this name in order to register the domain .com in another server without canceling my blog until the transfer is completed?

  Hi ickejmp,

  It appears that both these domains estudiaaleman.com and .es have been registered by someone already.

  You could do a look up at least on the .com by going to http://www.nicline.com/whois/whois.htm and putting in the domain and security code.

  The .es version seems to registered by the same organization from what I can tell.

  I would say you would either need to choose another name to register, or try contacting the current registrant and seeing if they would be willing to sell it to you. If you go that route I would use a trusted escrow type service to facilitate the payment and transfer.
