How to "Unpublish a post" but save it as a draft?
-
How do I unpublished a post, yet save it as a draft? I accidentally hit “publish” while working on a draft. How can prevent that from happening?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Barbara,
I took a look at your site, and it appears as if you’ve already managed to make this happen. I see a draft saved today (February 2, 2015), called Design Activism.
Did you figure out your own issue? Or may I still help in anyway?
Please let me know. Thanks much!

Robyn,
Thanks. But the post I accidentally published before its “baked” date was the Letterform Basics post. I couldn’t figure out how to de-publish it so I just hurried to finish it and leave it out there.
So my question really is about if I accidentally post again before I am ready, how to I de-post?
Thanks.

Hey there,
Ahhhh….I see.
Ok, for the future, then. If you’d like to change the status of a post back to “draft,” you can open your published post:
https://wordpress.com/post/77195783/953/?optinChange the status to Draft in the upper, right-hand side of the page, as seen here:
https://cloudup.com/iQGsejOxXANThen, underneath your post, you’ll click Revert to Draft, as seen here:
https://cloudup.com/iVQaX6ZsxWCOnce that is complete, your post will be saved as a draft and “unpublished” from your blog.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!
